Move from Stocky and keep everything
Stockroom imports your Stocky data export from one ZIP file: suppliers, complete PO history, receiving timeline, reorder levels, bins and supplier costs. It does not need POS Pro.
Import your purchasing history from one ZIP
Request your data export on Stocky's deprecation page (stocky.shopifyapps.com/deprecated). It arrives by email, usually within a day. Drop the ZIP into Stockroom's onboarding or Settings and the import runs from there.
- Suppliers. Contacts, currencies, payment terms and tag rules come across, along with which supplier carries which product, at what cost, code and pack size.
- Full PO history. Every PO with its status, not just open orders, so you can still look up your purchase history by vendor.
- The receiving timeline. What arrived when, in full or in part.
- Reorder levels and bins. Stocky's min/max levels, lead times and bin locations land on your products, per location. Nothing you've already set in Stockroom is overwritten.
- Adjustments and stocktakes. Opt in to bring count history along too.
- Safe to run after an API import. Drop the export anyway. Only what is new is added, and nothing is duplicated.
- Shopify inventory is left alone. The import writes documents into Stockroom. It does not change your Shopify inventory.
What you get after the switch
The features Stocky users relied on are here, along with some Stocky never had.
- No POS Pro requirement. Stocky needed a POS Pro subscription. Stockroom works on any Shopify plan.
- Incoming stock on ordered. Mark a PO ordered and incoming quantities show in Shopify, the same as Stocky did.
- Better counting. Blind counts, cycle schedules, no-login counting links and audit exports, which Stocky did not offer.
- Landed cost, built in. Allocate freight and fees into unit costs. Stocky did not do this.
- QuickBooks, when you want it. Push POs and bills to QuickBooks with MyWorks, the same team that synced Stocky POs for years.
- Free and unlimited. Stockroom is free, with no PO caps and no subscription.
Migration FAQ
Stocky has shut down - can I still get my data?
Yes. Shopify ended Stocky access on September 1, 2026, but Stocky's deprecation page (stocky.shopifyapps.com/deprecated) lets you request a full data export. It is emailed to you as a ZIP file, usually within a day. Stockroom imports that file directly.
How long does the import take?
Most stores finish in minutes. Large PO histories import in the background while you keep setting up.
What about the one-click API import?
It needed Stocky to be online, so for almost every store the data export is now the way in. If Shopify granted your store extended Stocky access, the API import is still available at the bottom of Settings → Data & sync.
What is not imported?
Stock transfers, because Stockroom uses Shopify's own transfers and history cannot be written into them. Stocktake sessions are also skipped, because a completed stocktake already arrives as the adjustment it produced.
Does importing change my Shopify inventory?
No. The import creates documents and history inside Stockroom. It does not change your Shopify stock levels.
What does Stockroom cost after Stocky?
Nothing. Stockroom is free, with no PO caps and no POS Pro requirement. The only paid product is MyWorks Sync, our accounting sync, if you want your purchasing in QuickBooks.
