Stockroom

Reorder before you run out

Stockroom reads your sales history, allows for the days you were out of stock, and suggests reorder points, quantities and order-by dates. Every suggestion shows how it was worked out.

Suggestions

Reorder points from your sales history

Every suggestion has an explain dialog that shows the math, and you can override any level.

  • Out-of-stock-aware velocity. Days you were out of stock are not counted against your sales rate.
  • Suggested levels per variant and location. Reorder points, low-stock levels, max levels and predicted reorder dates.
  • You set the rules. Safety stock, per-location overrides, exclusions, pack sizes and MOQs are all yours to set, and all can be exported and imported by CSV.
  • Working within minutes. A sales scan runs at install, so suggestions are ready right after setup.
  • Review and apply in bulk. The suggested-levels table lets you apply or ignore across the catalog in one pass.
  • Plain math. Suggestions come from straightforward math on your sales history, and you can see every step.
  • Why this number. Each suggestion shows the signals behind it and any location override it used. Settings has a worked example.
  • Reorder on the total. Set a reorder point on the sum across locations instead of one per site, for stock that moves between them anyway.
The buy plan

From low stock to a PO in one click

The Reorder page groups everything below its reorder point by supplier, applies lead times, and turns the plan into draft POs.

  • Supplier-grouped buy plan. See what to order from whom, with minimum-value and quantity filters.
  • Order-by dates. Plan-ahead views use effective lead times so you order before you run out.
  • One-click draft POs. One PO per location or a combined PO per supplier, pre-filled with suggested quantities.
  • Days-of-cover ordering. Fill a PO to 14, 30, 60 or 90 days of cover for any supplier.
  • Order minimums in view. See how far a draft is from a supplier free-freight or minimum-order threshold before you send it.
  • Skip what you never reorder. Tag clearance or end-of-life stock once and it stops appearing in suggestions.
  • Find it fast. A free-text filter narrows the buy plan by title, SKU or barcode.
  • From the Sales report, too. Pick rows in the Sales report's By product view and turn them into purchase orders on the spot.
Cost-aware buying

Compare suppliers for the same item

Record what each distributor charges for the same item and Stockroom compares them, freight thresholds included.

  • Several suppliers per item. Keep a cost, supplier SKU, pack size and lead time per distributor for the same product.
  • Lowest-cost grouping. Reorder can group a buy by lowest cost across your suppliers and shows what that saves against buying everything from one.
  • Pin a preferred supplier. A pinned supplier is used regardless of price. Pin it yourself, or let the first order you place set it from your order history.
  • Cost history per supplier. See what you last paid each supplier and how the price has moved.
  • Freight thresholds in the math. A meter per supplier shows how close the order is to free freight, which can change which supplier is cheaper.
  • ABC grades everywhere. Every product is graded by the revenue it earns, so you can see which lines matter most.
Questions

Common questions

Is this AI forecasting?

No. Suggestions come from straightforward math on your own sales history, and each one has an explain dialog that shows the steps. You can override any level.

How much of my sales history does it use?

Up to two years. A 90-day pass runs at install so suggestions are ready in your first session, then the two-year read fills in behind it. If your history stops at 60 days, Shopify has not been given data access yet: accept its Update data access prompt when you open Stockroom and the full rebuild starts on its own.

Will it place orders for me?

Only as drafts for you to review and send. Restock drafts can be raised nightly, weekly or monthly and are never ordered for you. Drop-shipping is the one exception, where a customer order can raise a supplier PO on its own if you switch that on.

Why is it suggesting one of everything?

Adding products to a PO by hand never proposes a quantity, and a scan is always one unit. Use Fill suggested quantities to size the lines from the plan. Untracked variants and products with no vendor never suggest.

Is this part of the free app?

Stockroom is free to install, with no trials and no credit card. Purchase orders and receiving are free, and they stay free - that's the core of the app, not a trial. As Stockroom grows into deeper inventory management, the advanced end of that will be paid, along with things like hands-on onboarding and priority support.
