Know before it costs you
Out-of-stock alerts in near-realtime, low-stock digests on your schedule, and 23 reports that answer the questions your accountant and your buyer ask.
Hear about a stockout without going looking
Named alert rules with their own scope, cadence, channels and recipients - to Slack, to email, or both.
- Out-of-stock in near-realtime. Coalesced, so a flash sale sends one message instead of forty.
- Low-stock and reorder digests. Daily, weekly or monthly, with new-since-last flags.
- Scoped rules. Filter by vendor, tag or location - each rule with its own recipients.
- Overstock and shortfall alerts. Projected-shortfall and overstock rule types watch the other direction too.
- A ranked attention feed. Home shows the worst problems first: stockouts with velocity, overdue POs, idle drafts.
- Health checks. Nine on-demand inventory checks that catch data drift before it compounds.
23 reports, every one exportable
Sales, margin, stock on hand (now or at a past date), variants, dead stock, ABC analysis, projected shortfall, vendor purchase history, supplier performance, receipts, landed cost, COGS, inventory roll-forward, movements, adjustments, out of stock and last-counted - CSV on every one, scheduled delivery if you want it.
- COGS you can reconcile. FIFO or weighted-average, matching how your accounting expects it.
- Stock on hand by date. See what inventory looked like at year-end, in one report.
- Vendor purchase history. What you bought, from whom and at what cost, ready for your next supplier negotiation.
- Scheduled delivery. Any report, emailed or sent to Slack as CSV on a cadence.
- Scoped to one location. The stock reports narrow to a single site, or aggregate across all of them.
- Valued at cost or at retail. See what your stock cost you and what it is worth on the shelf, side by side.
- Whole-report totals. Every total covers the whole report rather than the page you are on.
Common questions
How do alerts reach me?
Slack, email, or both. Out-of-stock alerts are near-realtime and coalesced, so a flash sale is one message rather than forty. Low-stock and reorder digests go daily, weekly or monthly at an hour you pick in your own timezone. A new store starts with no rules, so nothing fires until you make one, and you can keep up to 25.
Does the page show me the whole report?
The page shows the top 500 rows and tells you how many there are in total, and the totals line always covers the whole report rather than the rows on screen. The CSV export carries everything up to 100,000 rows, and a mailed attachment up to 20,000.
Can I have reports emailed to me?
Yes. Any report can go out as a CSV by email or to Slack, daily, weekly or monthly, up to 20 schedules a store. A report that comes back empty sends nothing and keeps its cadence.
What does the Early access badge on a report mean?
That we are still building that report out and want to hear what it is missing. It does not restrict what you can run.
Is this part of the free app?
Stockroom is free to install, with no trials and no credit card. Purchase orders and receiving are free, and they stay free - that's the core of the app, not a trial. As Stockroom grows into deeper inventory management, the advanced end of that will be paid, along with things like hands-on onboarding and priority support.
