Stockroom
Prediko from $49 a month by revenue. Stockroom is free

Stockroom vs Prediko for purchasing

Prediko is a Shopify planning app: a 12-month demand and supply plan, a buy table, and purchase orders raised from it, from $49 a month for stores under $100k of revenue to $199 a month under $2M. Its purchasing is solid. Stockroom does the purchasing job free at any revenue, inside your Shopify admin, and writes incoming and received stock to Shopify without a setting to switch on.

What Stockroom adds

What a PO in Stockroom does that Prediko leaves to you, or to a setting.

  • Shopify shows what is coming. Mark a PO ordered and the incoming quantity appears on the product in Shopify and POS. Prediko tracks in-transit stock in its own screens.
  • Receiving updates Shopify by default. Receive in Stockroom and the stock lands at that location in Shopify. In Prediko the push is off until you turn it on.
  • Receiving happens at the till too. Stockroom has a receiving tile in Shopify POS as well as scanning in the admin and on a phone. Reject damaged units on the receive and read the invoice photo to fill in the counts.
  • The PO goes out as you. Templates, a Cc list, reply-to your address and, in early access, sending from your own domain. You see when it was opened, and the supplier confirms on a link with no login.
  • Prices keep up with costs. The price review report shows where a cost rise ate your margin and suggests a new price you can push to Shopify. Prediko pushes cost, not price.
  • Suppliers hold their terms and compete. Payment terms, price lists with quantity breaks and a free-shipping threshold live on each supplier, and the cheaper one is flagged on the PO.
  • Supplier returns with a credit note. Send damaged or wrong goods back and carry the credit against the next order.
  • Free at any revenue. Prediko’s price steps up as the store grows. Stockroom’s purchasing stays free whatever you sell.
  • The bill reaches QuickBooks. MyWorks Sync posts each PO and bill into QuickBooks. Prediko creates an open purchase order there, one at a time.
When planning is the job

Where Prediko is the better fit

Prediko is demand planning first, and it is good at it. Stockroom does not try to match this.

  • A twelve-month demand and supply plan. Achievable demand, budget validation and a supply plan per location and per store, with seasonality and growth modelled. Stockroom’s nightly reorder points are simpler by design.
  • Planning across several Shopify stores. Combined locations so stock is not double-counted, and one plan over all of them. Stockroom works on one store.
  • Risk views read against the plan. Stockout dates, overstock and dead stock measured against the twelve-month plan, with inventory value and sell-through alongside. Stockroom’s projected shortfall, dead stock and out of stock reports work from sales, and can be scheduled to your inbox too.
  • Raw materials and production orders. A paid add-on that plans components from the finished-goods forecast. Stockroom raises builds from demand and puts their component shortfalls on the buy plan, but does not run a twelve-month component forecast.
  • Warehouse and 3PL connectors. PO sync to ShipHero and a long list of WMS integrations, for stores whose receiving happens in a third-party warehouse.

Questions we get

Does Prediko update Shopify when I receive?

Only if you turn it on. Its documentation says the stock sync is off by default, and the cost push runs once a day when enabled. Stockroom writes received stock to Shopify as part of the receive, at that location, and shows you the new landed cost to confirm before it touches cost per item.

Does Prediko show incoming stock in Shopify?

Nothing in its documentation says it writes Shopify’s incoming figure. In-transit quantities are tracked inside Prediko. Stockroom writes incoming to Shopify when you mark a PO ordered, so the product page and POS show what is coming.

Can I use Stockroom with Prediko?

You could keep Prediko for the plan and place the orders in Stockroom, but Prediko would not see those POs as supply, so its plan would drift. If you need the twelve-month plan across several stores, use Prediko’s POs. If you buy for one Shopify store, Stockroom covers the job on its own.

How does Stockroom forecast?

Every night it works out a reorder point per product from your sales and lead times, then builds a buy plan grouped by supplier with minimums and pack sizes applied and the cheaper supplier flagged. It does not build a twelve-month plan or a budget view.

What does Prediko cost?

Starter is $49 a month up to $100k of trailing revenue, Scale-up $119 up to $500k, Growth $199 up to $2M, and Enterprise is custom above that. Raw materials and bills of materials are a $20 a month add-on. Two months are free on annual billing. As published on Prediko’s App Store listing and pricing page on 11 September 2026.

What does Stockroom cost?

Purchase orders and receiving are free, and they stay free. That is the core of the app. As Stockroom grows into deeper inventory management, the advanced end of that will be paid, along with hands-on onboarding and priority support. Pushing your POs and bills into QuickBooks is a paid MyWorks Sync subscription.
